UNIQLO Workshop: DIY Your Own Plantable Candle
Sustainability meets creativity in our latest collaboration with Uniqlo! We hosted an exclusive DIY Plantable Candle Workshop for Uniqlo members, blending circular design principles with a hands-on experience to inspire eco-conscious living.
The Art of Circular Design
Our daily choices impact the planet, and at Pass It On Studio, we believe that sustainable design should be both beautiful and practical. This workshop introduced participants to the basics of circular design, showing how waste materials can be repurposed into something new and meaningful.
Crafting a Plantable Candle
Each participant learned how to make their own plantable candle, a zero-waste creation that transforms into a plant after use. Made from natural soy wax and infused with biodegradable seed paper, these candles allow you to grow herbs or flowers once they’ve burned down, reinforcing the idea of regeneration.
Workshop Highlights:
-
Understanding Circular Design – Learn the importance of reducing waste through design.
-
Hands-On Candle Making – Craft a plantable candle using eco-friendly materials.
-
Seed Paper Infusion – Discover how to embed seeds that sprout into plants.
-
Sustainable Living Tips – Practical ways to incorporate eco-conscious choices into daily life.
Why It Matters
This workshop wasn’t just about making candles—it was about rethinking consumption and discovering innovative ways to integrate sustainability into everyday routines. By embracing circular design, we can create products that give back to nature instead of contributing to waste.
